Recresco lead the field when it comes to investigating and developing uses for glass other than just being made into more bottles. Not all glass is suitable for the bottle manufacturers. For example, glass that has been contaminated to a high degree, or by-products of the recycling process. Recresco have invested heavily in highly specialised mobile recycling machinery that can travel to the location of such material and process the glass onsite. This reduces the financial and environmental costs of transporting the recyclate from the point of origin to a reprocessing centre and then on to a customer.
The mobile equipment we use has a very low wear rate thus reducing maintenance costs. This enables us to charge less for the service. The material produced is a proven aggregate material and can be sold to local asphalt companies.
At Recresco we are always seeking new uses for recycled glass and work closely with a number of different industries to develop new raw material replacements.
