Sita has teamed up with Recresco in South Gloucestershire to install Recresco 7cu. m. banks on 9 sites across the district. Phase two scheduled for later this year will see this number increase. These banks will facilitate collection of plastic bottles and other containers of plastic types 1 & 2 With a capacity of over 7cu mtr and an eye catching design these banks will encourage residents of South Gloucestershire to help protect the environment by responsible recycling of plastic bottles. The unique collection system developed by Recresco reduces the volume of each bottle on collection to maximise carrying capacity of vehicle further reducing the environmental impact of collections. A typical Recresco plastic collection vehicle will empty in excess of 35 banks with the option to sleep out on long rural collection routes.
